Molecular Biology
Department of Molecular biology was established in 1985 (First in Korea) and offers bachelor of science, master of science, and doctor of philosophy degrees. Molecular biology is the study of biological phenomena at molecular lever. Which provides basic knowledge used in biotechnology and genetic engineering. The discovery of causes and cures for diseases as cancer, genetic diseases, and AIDS, and the solution for food, pollution and energy problems are some of the challenges faces in this area. Considering these kinds of social demands, the department offers various lecture courses, which cover fundamental molecular processes essential to all forms of life, and lab courses with emphasis on various recent experimental technologies.
